      Intervention bestanden darin, die Beteiligung der Bürger*innen an der lokal
      en Entwicklungsplanung zu stärken und ihre Zufriedenheit mit den Informatio
      nen der staatlichen Akteure zu dieser Planung zu erhöhen. Ein quasi-experim
      entelles Forschungsdesign mit einer innovativen Stichprobenmethode wurde in 
      das Projekt integriert. In drei Erhebungsrunden wurden Daten aus Interventio
      ns- und Kontrollgebieten gesammelt, um die Wirksamkeit des partizipativen An
      satzes der Entwicklungsplanung zu messen. Die Analyse hat gezeigt, dass die 
      Intervention die Zufriedenheit der Bürger*innen mit den Informationen zur E
      ntwicklungsplanung in hohem Maße steigerte; eindeutige positive Auswirkunge
      n auf ihr Wissen zu den Planungsprozessen gab es jedoch nicht. Während die 
      statistische Evidenz zu den Auswirkungen der Intervention auf die Beteiligun
      g der Bürger*innen an der Entwicklungsplanung gemischt ist, sprechen die Ak
      zeptanz und die Ausweitung des GIZ-Ansatzes durch die Regierung und die Entw
      icklungspartner für seinen Erfolg.  Die Provinzregierung und die Partner be
      grüßten die Praktikabilität und Kontextangemessenheit der Intervention so
      wie die verbesserte Zufriedenheit der Bürger*innen. Daher übernahm die Pro
      vinz Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 2017 den Ansatz als offizielle Methode für die Entw
      icklungsplanung in 12 von 25 Distrikten, die ein EU-finanziertes Programm du
      rchführten. Die EU, das Umweltprogramm der Vereinen Nationen (UNDP) und die
       Schweizer Direktion für Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (DEZA) unterstützt
