Evaluation of the Student Training for Entrepreneurial Promotion (STEP) – School of Finance & Banking, Rwanda

Abstract

STEP is an action-oriented and evidence-based entrepreneurship training scheme for youths and young adults. STEP develops young people’s skills, knowledge and confidence to pursue an entrepreneurial career by starting their own businesses. The School of Finance and Banking can be considered as one of the founding partners of the STEP Training, since it participated in all preparatory workshops that preceded the first implementation of the STEP Training. In 2014 more than 200 students participated in the STEP Training, and follow-up studies were conducted one year after the training programme.
