Evaluation of the Student Training for Entrepreneurial Promotion (STEP) – University of Rwanda

Abstract

STEP is an action-oriented and evidence-based entrepreneurship training scheme for youths and young adults. STEP develops young people’s skills, knowledge and confidence to pursue an entrepreneurial career by starting their own businesses. The University of Rwanda was part of the wider team starting the STEP Training project in 2008. In 2015 more than 200 students participated in the STEP Training, and follow-up studies were conducted one, two and three years after the training respectively.
