Women’s Dietary Diversity (IDDS-W / MDD-W) and the Minimum Acceptable Diet of small children (MAD) are the prox y indicators for diet quality. The Household Food Insecurity Experience Scal e (HFIES) was used as a proxy for access to food and to provide information on the resilience of a household to food crises. In addition, the situation of beneficiaries of project activities was compared to control groups in ord er to verify whether any positive changes could be attributed to project int erventions. The results show significant improvements in the quality of the diet of women and children (MDD-W and MAD) and in household food security fo r most of the survey participants.
