Zusammenfassung

Im Februar 2023 erschütterten zwei der verheerendsten Erdbeben der jüngeren Geschichte Teile Syriens und der Türkei und trafen mehr als 15 Millionen Menschen. In Syrien schränkten fragmentierte Governance-Strukturen und umkämpfte territoriale Kontrolle die Fähigkeit zu einer wirksamen Reaktion erheblich ein und erhöhten die Vulnerabilität der Haushalte weiter. Insbesondere die von Frauen und Mädchen, Menschen mit Behinderungen, Geflüchteten, Binnenvertriebenen (IDPs) und Rückkehrenden. Das von der GIZ umgesetzte regionale Vorhaben „Krisenbewältigung in von Erdbeben betroffenen Gebieten (CREA)” zielt darauf ab, die Resilienz der betroffenen Gemeinden durch multisektorale Interventionen in den Bereichen Bildung, Gesundheit, wirtschaftliche Erholung und Katastrophenrisikomanagement zu stärken.
