Diese systematische Übersichtsarbeit zielt darauf ab, die ethisc hen Herausforderungen zu identifizieren, denen Forschungspersonal auf versch iedenen hierarchischen Ebenen und in unterschiedlichen wissenschaftlichen Di sziplinen bei der Durchführung von Forschung in LMICs begegnet.
Methoden: W ir haben 13 elektronische Datenbanken durchsucht und manuelle Suchen in Publ ikationen von sechs ausgewählten Zeitschriften sowie in den Literaturverzei chnissen aller eingeschlossenen Studien durchgeführt. Es wurden keine Einsc hränkungen hinsichtlich des Veröffentlichungsdatums, des Forschungsdesigns und der Zielpopulation vorgenommen.
Ergebnisse: Es wurden 23.151 Studien ge funden, von denen 183 unsere Einschlusskriterien erfüllten. Wir haben neun verschiedene Arten ethischer Herausforderungen, denen Forschungspersonal wä hrend der Feldforschung ausgesetzt sein kann, identifiziert, darunter (1) Ro llenkonflikte, die sich aus Hilfeersuchen der Teilnehmenden und dem hohen Gr ad an Entbehrung in bestimmten Studienumgebungen ergeben können, (2) Schuld gefühle und (3) schädliche Auswirkungen auf die psychische Gesundheit. Wei tere Herausforderungen waren (4) sexuelle Belästigung, (5) Sicherheitsrisik en und (6) politische Repression, insbesondere in Post-Konflikt-, katastroph enbetroffenen oder autokratischen Studienkontexten. Darüber hinaus berichte ten Studien von (7) unzureichenden Arbeitsbedingungen und (8) Machtungleichg ewichten innerhalb von Forschungsteams, während (9) Ethikkommissionen als u nzureichend ausgestattet befunden wurden, um aufkommende Risiken zu antizipi eren und anzugehen, wodurch sich die ethische Verantwortung der Forschenden erhöht.
